Edison received the Blue Ribbon Award for the year 2007 by the U.S. Department of Education for our work in closing the achievement gap between disadvantaged students and their peers.
(Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies) is a progressive developmental curriculum designed to enhance social emotional competencies. Edison students are using these skills to become "The Best Kid in the World". It is our goal to promote lifelong learners who will contribute to their learning environment and community.
Earth Force is a project to engage the students in caring for our environment. The students actively participate in selecting an issue and implementing a plan to make an everlasting change in our policy and practices.
Students worked with a resident artists using music and movement to create a performance. Students were excited to participate and perform. The theme of this project is character education, learning through self expression and arts.
They will be instructing grades K-5 this year. Their goal is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.
