Pearl Harbor  is off the island of Oaku and west of Honolulu.  Pearl Harbor was a big Navel Base and had a lot of people.  The Navel Base was bombed on  December 7 , 1941.       Japanese sunk 19 ships.  They destroyed 200 air crafts.       U.S. Government obtained an exclusive inlet and the right to repair a coiling station for ships in 1887.       Soon after the attack the U.S. president Franklin D. Roosevelt appointed a commission of inquiry to determine whether Megan had contributed to the success of the Japanese raid on Pearl Harbor.  Pearl Harbor was a bad sight for United States.       There was 222 army people killed.  Their was 2,004 people killed.       When Pearl Harbor was attacked by Japan other countries help. A lot of people was on the Naval base.
