E.B. White

| E.B.White
was born in MountVernon, New York in 1899, and was graduated from Cornell
University. He wrote many children's books such as Charlotte's Web, Trumpet
of the Swan, and Stuart Little, and he wrote poems too. He won a Newberry
award for his books.
Charlotte's Web was one of his finest books. E.B.White came up with the idea of Charlotte's Web while he was watching a spider at work on a web and the story of Charlotte's Web was born. His work shows his feeling for life. He died of Alzheimer disease on October 1, 1985 in North Brooklyn, Maine. He wrote alot of stories for kids and some of the books got Newberry awards. |
