There
are different kinds of otters. Such as the RiverOtter, Sea Otter,and Giant
Otter. They can be found in Geogia and Canada. They are mammals.
The
otter's body is about75cm and the tail is half it'sbody. It's head is broad
and flat. It's fur is dark brown. They have webbed feet and smallears.
Otters have camouflagefur and stiff wiskers.
The
Otter's temperment is playful and sensitive. Otters can swim very gracefully
and powerfully. Their eyes are shut when they are swimming.
An
Otter's family has about 8 members. Male and female otters breed in the
spring. It takes 61 days to have the babies. Females may have up to 6 babies.
The babies stay with their mother until next spring when they breed.
The
otters wrestle, chase, and dive for stones. They bang shells against each
other too. The otter's preddators are: bobcats, coyote's, and alligators.
Otters eat crayfish, fish, crabs, and small reptiles.
