Fund Project
The Technology Literacy Challenge Fund Project is a competitive grant that was awarded to the School District City of Erie. This grant is providing an opportunity for teachers to create integrated curricular lessons allowing the internet to be used as an instructional tool for student learning. Teachers from each school within the district are working together to design student lessons spanning levels from grades three through twelve in the curriculum areas of Math, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. These lessons encompass instructional strategies that integrate curriculum areas and also expand curriculum topics across grade levels.
These lessons and activities can also be available to students at home if they have computers connected to the Internet and to others with connections to the World Wide Web. This grant has also allowed for the acquisition of additional computers for teacher and student use in this district.
