Students and Staff at Central Tech are doing their part in helping find a cure for cancer. What first started as a series of dress down days, a day for students and staff to wear clothing of their choice that still follows the dress code, and other small activities soon started to develope into a huge attempt at raising money to help Kanzius and his research to find a cure for cancer. Everyone joined together at Central Tech to help raise money by collecting donations and finding other ways to raise money. At the end of the 2006-2007 school year the administration of the school set up a "Sports Day" where the entire school would have a day of fun with food, drinks, games and sports. All money raised from the "Sports Day" and all other donations were then donated to the Kanzius Research Foundation. In under a year Central Tech managed to raise more than $13,000 and are looking to raise more than triple that amount next school year.
