Wegman's Partnership
Glenwood and Wegmans have formed a partnership through the Erie Area Chamber of Commerce Adopt-A-School Program. This partnership has been in existence since the 1995-96 school year. The purpose of this program is to enhance the learning environment at Glenwood School, to utilize the resources of a community organization, and strengthen the link between public schools and our community. Our relationship with Wegmans exposes students to different careers, helps them to acquire a better understanding of the work environment, and enables them to see the relevance of school subjects to careers. Wegmans provides Glenwood students with motivational incentives that promote personal growth and improvements in the areas of manners, academic achievement, attitude, and effort. Wegmans generosity at graduation time allows the kindergarten and sixth grade parents and students to enjoy a delicious, beautifully decorated Wegman's cake and refreshments.
