The Erie School District believes in doing it's fair share of community service for the City of Erie and the surrounding communities.  One way they accomplish this is through the Learn and Serve programs in the schools.  Harding has it's own Learn and Serve program for the seventh and eighth grade students called Harding's T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More).  The students involved with this program participate in several activities during the school year.  T.E.A.M. members clean up parks and streams, play BINGO with the elderly, act as peer mentors to younger students, raise money for local food pantries, and walk for national charities such as The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and The March of Dimes.

The students who sign to become T.E.A.M. members get a lot of fulfillment and enjoyment in giving back to the community.  The school district likes to thank the students for putting so much effort into helping others.  At the end of the school year, the seventh graders are given a small gift as a token of appreciation and are invited to spend a day at Waldameer Park.  The eight graders receive a t-shirt recognizing their efforts and also get to spend a day at Waldameer Park.  Five outstanding members of Harding's T.E.A.M. will receive a plaque and will be invited to a special school board meeting.
