Creating Champions & Redesigning for Success

Make every child a champion

The Erie School District creates champions. Many of our students earn champion status in athletic and academic competitions, but just as importantly, many more earn recognition every day in the classroom. Throughout the district teachers, administrators and parents are working together to customize learning for each individual - to make every child a champion. We are restructuring the way we teach, tailoring the delivery of information to match students' learning needs. We believe this is the best way to ensure that each child gains the critical thinking abilities and problem-solving skills necessary for success in all aspects of life.

Our emphasis on customized learning is not a short-term program. It is the result of recent administration and school board efforts to improve student performance, instruction, professional development, and technology throughout the district. This comprehensive improvement effort, know as redesigning for Success, has produced state and nationally recognized programs and initiatives- cutting-edge ideas that ensure that all students have the opportunity to learn at the pace and level consistent with their needs and abilities.

Creating today a better tomorrow - one child at a time
