Jefferson Elementary provides a variety of academic and physical activities for our students. These include after school programs, field trips, athletics, and special projects and programs. Jefferson strives for academic success by gearing its curriculum to the state academic standards. PSSA preparation is a daily part of the educational process. There are a number of after school programs available at Jefferson Elementary. These include the GAPS program, the Y-program, and other tutoring programs. The students of Jefferson are provided with a variety of field trips. Kindergarten and first grade enjoy their fall at the pumpkin farm. Our second, fourth, and sixth grade have had the opportunity to learn outside the classroom at Asbury Woods. Third grade ventures to a health fair each year. Athletics is an activity students enjoy at Jefferson. The students are able to participate in Intramurals before and after school. They also enjoy joining our basketball teams. Jefferson helps to make learning fun and interesting for the students by providing many special projects and programs. These include guest speakers, assemblies, and technology projects to name a few.
