Coin Challenge

2007-08-$900

Students were asked to bring in  change from home to help support the variety of organizations that the Learn & Serve program supports.   The classrooms with the largest totals were given a special treat for their hard work!

Make a Wish- Fall

2006/07-$300.00

2007/08-$400.00

Students are asked to earn money to donate to this organization by providing some type of service. Creativity is admirable.

The students also sold healthy snacks during lunch to help raise money for the organization.

Examples: One student sold hot dogs at her father's business on a Saturday. Others have raked leaves, piled wood, walked dogs, cleaned, and shoveled snow.

The goal of this program is to
encourage a spirit of volunteerism and service.  Each student is keeping track of their service hours and work performed and will have to do an end of the year reflection paper.
