Special Programs

Rob Davis

Rob Davis, the long snapper for the Greenbay Packers, gave a motivational speech for students in Grades 3-6. Mr. Davis is the player-representitive for the Packers. He was in Erie to speak to football players for Mercyhurst College. Arrangements were made for Mr. Davis to speak to the students at Pfeiffer-Burleigh.

Leap Frog

As a part of the City of Erie Leap Frog project Erie Insurance sponsored a frog for students at Pfeiffer-Burleigh.

The theme of the frog was Leaping Into the Fututre. Under the direction of Art Teacher, Jean Chimenti, we created "Miss Lilly-Pad" the future telling frog. The footprints on Miss Lilly-Pad represent the students and their dreams for the future. The hand prints represent the Erie Insurance tutors and P.B. staff that can provide a "helping hand" for students to realize their dreams.

"Miss Lilly-Pad" will spend the summer in front of Erie Insurance before making a permanent home at Pfeiffer-Burleigh.

B.U.G. Awards

In addition to Honor Cards and Perfect Attendance, P.B. students can win a Bringing Up Grades or B.U.G. Award. A student receives this award if one or more grades are brought up during a marking period. This recognition is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club under Mr. Adam Trott. The name of the students who receive a B.U.G. Award are placed on the B.U.G. Wall
