Art Class at Perry Elementary

A monthly Art Showcase of student's art work in the Art classroom and the hallways of Perry School.

The elementary art program at Perry School offers the basic knowledge, vocabulary
skills and "hands-on" activities in sculpture, drawing, design, painting, art history, and
printmaking that encourages the students to develop a solid foundation in art. In Kindergarten
through 6th grade, exploratory learning opportunities that build competencies are provided in
all areas of art, in a positive and caring environment, where Perry students will gain an
awareness and the skills to become independent learners.
The goal of Perry's elementary total arts curriculum is to encourage growth, development and
proficiency, so the students will have sufficient knowledge for the more advanced studies in the
middle schools and also to make art more meaningful in their daily lives.
