Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy (NPCA) will host an open house for prospective students and families on Sunday, November 23 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the school, 2825 State Street.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni and parents will be available to answer questions from interested families. Tours will be provided throughout the afternoon and an admissions presentation will be offered at 1:15 p.m. in the auditorium.


Collegiate Academy is consistently ranked in the top two high schools in Pennsylvania and in the top 1% nationally by Newsweek. US News and World Report has awarded the school "gold" status for eight consecutive years and the US Department of Education recently recognized Collegiate Academy as a Blue Ribbon School.

NPCA offers 23 AP courses and all other courses are honors level. More than 100 juniors and seniors also take dual enrollment courses at three local universities.

Average SAT and ACT scores are well above the national and state average with 100% of students accepted to four-year colleges.

The NPCA class of 2014 was offered more than $17 million in merit and/or athletic scholarships with graduates accepted at Ivy League schools as well as highly selective schools such as Stanford University, University of Chicago, Carnegie Mellon University, New York University, University of California-Berkeley, Duke University, Kenyon College, Boston College and Notre Dame.
