Junior ROTC is unlike any other class you'll ever take. It's the course you can't fit in a text book. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays are just like other classes, with regular lessons and assignments. You'll learn a variety of things such as how your brain functions, how you learn best, study techniques, first aid techniques, history, and other interesting topics. On Thursdays we have our Leadership Day. You'll be required to wear the uniform of the United States Army and will learn to improve your self-discipline. Fridays is Physical Training or PT for short. PT consists of push-ups, pull-ups, sit ups, a one mile run/walk, a shuttle run, and the v-sit reach. JROTC is the class that cares about your mind and body. In addition to our classroom, we have many extra-curricular activities including drill competitions, community service, military balls, and holiday celebrations. JROTC will quickly become your favorite subject. Give it a try and expand your horizons.
