The Building
Educational Support Team conducts weekly meetings to discuss cases or
students that have been referred by faculty members. Students are
usually referred due to a combination of academic and/or behavioral
concerns that are impeding with their learning at school and at home.
The process is a team approach to discuss interventions and
implementations to assist each student through the "Student Assistance
Program" and the "Delinquency Prevention Program." Family participation
is strongly encouraged to assist with the development and
implementation of interventions to assist each child. The services
available through BEST:
Anger Management Group
Stress Management Group
Self-esteem Group

Family members
may also refer a child to the BEST team by calling the "Student
Assistance/Delinquency Prevention Programs" at 874-6612. This is a
volunteer and confidential program. Parent permission is required for
all students who request to participate in the program/s.
