Office Hours: I will be available from 11am-12pm and 2pm-3pm daily via Google Meets. You can join the video chatroom through my Google Classroom with any questions you might have and hopefully I can help you work through it! Parents and students are welcome. Otherwise, feel free to reach me by email as well at any time (dharkins@eriesd.org).

Grades: The grading window is open now! Please contact me at dharkins@eriesd.org if you need help locating any work. You have until Wednesday, April 22nd.

  • Welcome to Ms. Harkins's 8th Grade Science Class!

My name is Ms. Harkins and I want to welcome you to 8th grade science at Wilson Middle School. I teach four periods of 8th grade science in B pod. We will explore various topics including populations, ecosystems and catastrophic events.

Extra help night for science is on Wednesdays from 2:45-3:15. If you need an alternative night, please see me to make arrangements.

I can be reached using the Remind App. I provided a handout during the first week of school with instructions on how to get enrolled. Please reach out to me if you have any additional questions. I am also available via email at dharkins@eriesd.org. I will do my best to return your message the same day or the next.

  • Homework Policy

Homework will be assigned weekly. Students will receive a packet on Monday (unless there is a school closing or holiday then the day will be different) and it will be due Thursday during class. Students should be working on homework throughout the week to make the process easier and to give themselves time to ask me questions if they are having any trouble.

Homework will be corrected for accuracy. There will be an option to do corrections for a better grade by attending extra help night.

  • Discipline Policy

I will follow the general school discipline policy.
