8th Grade Social Studies- American History
In 8th Grade the students will study American History from Colonial Times to the Civil War. The focus of this study is to understand the way Government, International Relations, Economics and Conflict have shaped our country.

Two Scope and Sequence documents are posted below the standard document should be used for all schools that average at or above 180 minutes of social studies instruction per week. The second scope and sequence document, labeled B, is for those schools that average below 180 minutes of social studies instruction per week.
