• 2nd Grade Social Studies

Grade 2 Social Studies curriculum and content is driven by the Pennsylvania State Academic Standards in Economics, Geography, History, Civics and Government. The primary level of the standards describes what students in Pre-K through Grade 3 should know and be able to do. At the Second Grade level students will continue upon a journey starting internally and spiraling out to their neighborhoods, communities, city, state and nation. Examples of what students should know and  be able to do are read and interpret information on simple timelines, identify historical figures in the local community, identify the physical characteristics of places and identify how environmental changes can impact people.
