    SENIOR ARMY INSTRUCTOR                                                                                                                          2005- Present

     

    Lead Teacher and instructor for an Army Junior Reserve Officer Trainng (JROTC) program at an inner-city public high school in the City of Erie School District.  Responsible for teaching a wide and ecclectic curiculum which includes Leadership, Civics, Government, History, Health and Physical Education.  In addition teaches students real-world life skills including but not limited to Personal Financial Mangagement, Map Reading and Orienteering, First Aid, and other miscellaneous skills.  Supervises one additional teacher in the education of 125 high school students ranging in age from 14-19 years old and in grades 9 through 12. Supervises all unit logistics, administration, physical security and communications involved in running this edcucational program while acting as liason between School District officials and represtatives of the U. S. Army.

          Program consistently ranked as "Honor Unit with Distinction", (the Army's highest rating) for twelve (12) straight years.

          Selected as Commander of the U.S. Army JROTC summer program (JCLC) supervising 8-10 additional high school JROTC programs with supervisory responsibility over all Cadre, students and camp counselors.

     

     

    LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE

    1st Infantry Division                                                                                               Kitzingen, Germany and Kosovo

    BATTALION COMMANDER                                                                                                                2001 - 2003

     

    Commanded an Army Divisonal Air Defense Battalion.  Responsible for the training, health, welfare, and safety of 625 people.  Also responsible for the maintenance, operation, and accountability of Battalion equipment valued in excess of $100 million.   Supervised all unit logistics, administration, security and communications in both tactical and non-tactical environments.

          Recognized as one of the best battalion commanders in the Division.

          Unit consistently ranked as one of best in the Division by all metrics; maintenance rates, logistics management, property accountability and personnel training.

     

    RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

    11th Air Defense Brigade                                                                                              El Paso TX and Saudi Arabia

    EXECUTIVE OFFICER                                                                                                                          1997 - 1999

     

    Executive Officer / Chief of Staff of a 600 person organization.  Functioned as second in command of the organization.  Responsible for planning, organizing and monitoring the organization's maintenance program.  Also responsible for managing the supply, ammunition, and petroleum products programs. 

          Developed a maintenance program that fast-tracked vital resupply for the most advanced air to ground missile system in existence.at that time.

          Supervised maintenance, logistics and operations spread across three countries with vastly differing political, customs and importation challenges.

     

    HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

    ADJUTANT / PERSONNEL OFFICER                                                                                             1992 - 1994

     

    Adjutant and Personnel Officer for the largest Combat Training Center in Europe.  Responsible for the personnel administration and management of over 1,500 soldiers and civilians.  Responsible for monitoring, assessing, and coordinating all personnel services, facilities, policies and procedures. 

         Manages and coordinates all personnel assignments.

          Coordinates all legal actions within the Command, to include the conduct of formal investigations and inquiries, and the implementation and enforcement of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
