• Good Morning 5th Grade,

    If I am not here, please click ZOOM to join a class meeting with a substitute teacher.  If the substitute teacher does not join by 9:00 a.m., please follow the directions and schedule below to complete your assignments for the day.   Try the ZOOM link above at 1:00 p.m.  If no substitute joins by 1:10, continue following the afternoon part of the schedule below.

    Following is our daily schedule.  Complete the tasks for each area of our day.  Click on the blue words to take you to the link for your assignment.  

     

    9:00-10:30 CKLA (Reading and Writing)

    ATTENTION...before you click on the ReadWorks link below, write the class code and password on a piece of paper

     1.  Sign into ReadWorks to complete a reading passage.  Use Class Code: DYKTVQ  then find your name and click on it. 

          Enter the password: 1234.  Follow the prompts and then choose one reading passage to complete.  

     2.  Sign into BoomWriter and complete the Family Traditions Personal Narrative assignment.

     

    10:30-10:40  Break

     

    10:40-11:50 Math

    1.  Sign onto i-Ready and complete the diagnostic assessment.

    2.  If the diagnostic assessment is complete, follow the "My Path" and complete the lessons as directed.  You should work on the i-Ready lessons for         45-55 minutes.

    11:50-12:30 Lunch

    12:30-1:00 Practice

    1.  Complete the i-Ready diagnostic assessment if you did not finish it during Math class.

    2.  If the diagnostic assessment is complete, practice your multiplication facts on Factmonster.  Be sure to practice for 15-20 minutes.

    1:00-1:30 Interventions

    Read from Scholastic News for 30 minutes.  

    If you have books of your own at home, choose one (or more) to read from for 30 minutes.

     

    1:30-2:00 Science/Social Studies/Social-Emotional Learning

    Choose one activity from List A and one activity from List B

    1.  Explore videos and articles on National Geographic

    2.  Check out science videos on Wade's World

    3.  Find cool games, videos, and worksheets on manu historical events at History for Kids

    4.  Learn social studies with Ben Franklin at Ben's Guide to the US Government

    5.  Take a virtual field trip

    List B

    1.  Listen to a podcast about social-emotional skills at Imagine Neighborhood

    2.  Practice mindfulness at Mind Yetti
