I attended Edinboro University for my bachelor's degree and graduated in 1990. I earned a dual certificate in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I did my student teaching placement right here in the Erie School District at Pfeiffer-Burleigh Elementary. I went on to teach for the Erie Catholic Diocese for 15 years. I taught fourth grade at Our Lady's Christian School and both fourth and Kindergarten at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School. In 1994, I earned my Master's Degree from Mercyhurst University. I hold a certification in Special Education. I began teaching in the Erie School District in 2005. I taught Special Kindergarten at Emerson-Gridley, Learning Support for first and fifth grades at Diehl. I have been at Lincoln for ten years, teaching third grade for nine of those years. I currently am teaching second grade.
I am originally from Erie and am lucky enough to have my immediate family nearby. I have two daughters. My oldest, Lindsey, is graduating in May from Slippery Rock University with a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. My youngest daughter, Taylor, is a junior at Slippery Rock University majoring in Integrated Marketing Communication.
