• THE TRADITION

Every year, Collegiate Academy's seniors spend their last two school days at Camp Notre Dame for 24 hours of food and fun. They're whisked away on buses at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, and return at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 1.
Monday is packed full of activities for the students. When they first arrive at the camp, they will complete a scavenger hunt in small groups to learn the layout of the camp. After that they will have lunch, which we will provide.
The students' afternoon is free. Some choose to compete in the faculty-vs-students softball game. Others play volleyball, basketball, or soccer. Students can take out a boat on the Camp's lake. Others just hang out, enjoying the sunshine and doing some last-minute yearbook signing.
Around 5:00 is a cookout. Most of Academy's teachers come out to eat with and talk with the students, and everyone has a good time. After dinner, most students go back to their cabins to get ready for the dance, which begins at 7:00. The students dance and sing--the DJ also has karaoke--until 11:00.
The next morning, we take busloads of very tired seniors back to school. Three days later is graduation, and their high school careers have officially come to an end!
