Machining and Apprentices
Construction TradesPer orders from Governor Wolf, all classes for Tech After Hours are cancelled until further notice. If you are a student, continue with any online work that you are currently working on. This includes OSHA, SP2, NCCER, and Tooling U. Programs available through Tech After Hours:
Now offering GED classes for individuals that want to attend career training but don't have a diploma!Please note that all programs follow the district calendar for attendance days and snow days.
Tech After Hours is acceptinig new apprentices into the Machining and Welding programs. Our apprenticeship program is competency based and takes 3 to 4 years to complete. There is partial reimbursement to the employer.
Tech After Hours also has the Machining Program where you could be working as a machinist in as little as 90 days and
your training could be free!
You may qualify for free/affordable training with job placement assistance!
All programs are full time.Site-base training is available two nights a week from 5 pm to 8 pm. Open Sim Lab time is available on other nights, as well as web-based and independent work.

Career and Technical education must partner with local businesses to ensure that the necessary conditions foster and sustain innovations that result in a trained workforce.Adult students who participate in effective CTE programs will graduate with industry certifications or licenses that employers can use to make hiring decisions. These students are positioned to become the areas next machinists, welders, construction trade workers and certified nursing assistants. These individuals are empowered to pursue future schooling and training as their educational and career needs evolve. This program will be an affordable route for individuals seeking career retraining and success.
