America's ability to build a competitive workforce hinges on educators, industry and business leaders collaborating together.  The changing nature of skills required for existing jobs, the ongoing emergence of new jobs and the rapid pace of technological advances all demand new, more responsive programs, models, curricular strategies and instructional approaches.  Career and Technical education must partner with local businesses to ensure that the necessary conditions foster and sustain innovations that result in a trained workforce.

Adult students who participate in effective CTE programs will graduate with industry certifications or licenses that employers can use to make hiring decisions.  These students are positioned to become the areas next machinists, welders, construction  trade workers and certified nursing assistants.   These individuals  are empowered to pursue future schooling and training as their educational and career needs evolve. This program will be an affordable route for individuals seeking career retraining and success.
