The Gaining Options for College Collaborative (GO College)—a collaborative venture of the Erie School District, Gannon University, the Northwest Intermediate Unit (IU5), GECAC, and the GE Foundation—is a national data-driven initiative that brings communities together to increase college access and success for low-income, first-generation, and minority students. Gannon's participation in the GO College program is coordinated by the Washington, D.C.- based Council for Opportunity in Education (COE).

GO College is built upon six essential cornerstones:

*Collaboration among Many Community Partners

*Using Data to Improve Student Outcomes

*Combining a Whole School Approach with More Intensive Services for Individual Student Groups

*Aligning In-School and Out-of-School Programming to Improve Student Achievement

*Building on Existing Community Resources

*Emphasizing Student, School, and Community Strengths
