• Welcome to my page!

    Name:  Miss Erin Stull
    School:  Edison Elementary
    School Phone:  814-874-6470
    Room #:
    Classes:  SWS

Please join me online each day from 9AM until 11AM.  You can message me at estull@eriesd.org or leave me a message on your teacher's google classroom site.  You can even join my google classroom by entering my code of u4ggfq6.  I am here to help you!

As one of Edison' SWSs, I am in charge of Second and Third Grade Computer/Intervention classes.  To access the programs we use:

    Reading Amplify
    1.  Go to ReadingAmplify.com
    2.  Your child should know his or her classroom code or own personal log-in.  If they don't, please feel free to email me his or her full name along with his or her teacher's name at estull@eriesd.org and I will get back to you asap.  (***As a reminder, tell them this is the one where their username is the first initial of their first name and then their last name and some of the kids, also, have a number after their last name.  Their password will always be their first name.  Everything is in lower case, too.)
    3.  Once you have your child logged on, he or she will know what to do from there.
    4.  Try to have children in K and first grade be on Reading Amplify for 20 minutes a day.  Children in second and third grade for 30 minutes a day.  Children in fourth and fifth grade for 40 minutes a day.  You know your child best though -- if he or she can handle more time, go for it!  If your child has a shorter attention span or seems to really struggle, do a shorter time but do 2 sessions in a day instead.  Any time spent on this site will benefit your child immensely!

    I-Ready (math)
    1.  Log onto I-Ready.com
    2.  Your child's username and password are simply each the same 6 digit lunch number.  If your child doesn't know this 6-digit number, email me your child's and your child's teacher's names at estull@eriesd.org.  I will get back to you asap with this number.
    3.  Once you have your child logged on, he or she will know what to do from there.
    4.  Try to have children in K and first grade use I-Ready for 20 minutes each day.  Children in second and third grade for 30 minutes each day.  Children in fourth and fifth grade for 40 minutes each day.  You know your child best though -- if he or she can go longer, go for it!  If your child has a harder time staying focused and on task or seems to really be struggling, do 2 shorter sessions in a day instead of 1 big block.  Any amount of time spent on this site will benefit your child!

If you ever have any questions or concerns, contact me at estull@eriesd.org or by calling the Edison Office at 814-874-6470.  Parent Involvement is extremely important to bridge the gap between home and school so it is imperative for parents/guardians to attend Meet the Teacher and Parent-Teacher Conferences and to keep in contact with our teacher as much as possible.

***Please feel free to email me if you need assistance with explaining anything of your child's work to him or her!  I am here to help you and your child out!  Even though I mainly work with 2nd and 3rd graders, I will help you regardless of your child's grade level.  We can message back and forth or facetime - whatever takes the frustration and stress out of it for both of you.  Please just remember that I am here to help you and your child out!  Stay safe and healthy, and I'll see all of you back at school when the ban lifts.***

The below picture shows Free Educational websites that have been reviewed and deemed safe for children to use.  If they seem to need a break after doing Reading Amplify and I-Ready, help them check out some of these sites.  Using these sites will help you keep your sanity and will allow you not to worry that your child might get onto something inappropriate for this age group -- and they will, also, allow your child to keep learning without knowing it since most of the sites are educational games.

Free Educational Safe Websites for Kids!

Other sites your child might enjoy are:
    • These are fabulous sites that will actually read stories/books aloud to children - almost all of these are interactive, too!
      • Storyline Online
      • Mrs. P's Magic Library
      • Storynory
      • International Children's Digital Library
      • Read.Gov
      • StoryPlace
      • Oxford Owl
      • Free Kids Books
    • These sites (like PBS kids) aren't as educational as the above read aloud sites BUT they are safe sites for children to be on.
      • Nickjr.com
      • Lego.com

Parents remember - The very best thing you can do to help your child to be successful in school and later in life is to read with him or her every single day.  Make it part of your routine before bedtime or before turning on the TV or playing video games each night.  You and your child will love this time spent together and it will pay off in the future.

***I will be available for daily help (every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday until the end of the school year) on Google Hangout from 9:00AM until 10:00AM.  Simply go to Google Hangout, click on Video Chat, and type in my name Miss Stull (if that doesn't work, put Erin Stull).  It will dial us thru, and I can help you work thru any issues or problems you might be having.  Even if you don't have any problems, we can still talk because I miss every one of you!***
