    Happy Spring!
When school is closed or there are scheduled flexible instruction days, please check school email & your Schoology mail for a speech-language activity.   Thank you.
Hello! Welcome to my page.  I am a Speech-Language Pathologist that loves to learn and enjoys watching my students learn as well!  In speech-language therapy sessions, individual students have their own set of skills and goals that they are working on to improve their communication skills.  I like to use literacy as a springboard for developing vocabulary, grammar, auditory comprehension and sound development.
I'd like to share a little bit about myself.   I am married, have two children of my own and have a dog named Scotty.  I have been working in schools for more than two decades.  I really like to learn.  My favorite classes while I was growing up were Math and Science.  I especially enjoyed participating in math flash card races when learning my math facts.   As I grew older, I really discovered the love of reading.  One of my favorite picture books is The Giving Tree written and illustrated by Shel Silverstein.  One of my favorite novels is a book that was on my high school summer reading list, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, written by Betty Smith.  I feel that books really open up your imagination and put the world at your fingertips!
When I am not at school, I like to spend time with my family and friends.  I like to go for walks, watch movies, visit the beach, read and cook.  One of my favorite meals is scallop scampi and ice cream is my go to dessert!   I like to take vacations and have traveled as far as Hawaii.  Even while on vacation, there are plenty of opportunities to experience new adventures and learn exciting things!
    Thanks for visiting my page!
