Pre-K enrollment expanded to include 3-year-old children

Erie’s Public Schools has expanded enrollment in its Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts pre-kindergarten program for the 2020-2021 school year to include children who are 3 years old before Sept. 1, 2020.

The program, which provides high-quality pre-kindergarten services to at-risk children at no cost to parents, previously was limited to 4-year-old students in Erie’s Public Schools. Expanding enrollment in the 2020-2021 school year to include 3-year-old students allows more children to receive the pre-kindergarten education that will better prepare them for success in kindergarten and beyond.

Seats are limited. Families who do not have access to technology or who need in-person support are welcome to enroll at our district administration building at 148 W. 21st St. Our Child Accounting department is accepting enrollments Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. All visitors to the district administration building are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
