2019-20 Foundation for EPS Spring Arts Mini-Grant applications now available for EPS teachers

Dear EPS Teachers,

Please be aware that there are two mini-grant opportunities available to you for the 2019-2020 school year through the Foundation for Erie’s Public Schools.

The first opportunity is the traditional Innovation Arts Mini-Grant offering up to $1500 towards a project designed to strengthen relationships and create a safe environment in our schools.  Again, we are correlating the mini-grant opportunity to the district’s strategic plan’s Pillar B, Safe Climate and Strong Relationships with Students, Families and Community.

The second opportunity is a newly established mini-grant made possible through the generosity of Linda and Brian Graff.  The Graffs have established The Graff-Hoehn Teacher Education Fund in order to provide mini-grants of up to $1000 for teacher professional development.  Any trainings or education courses that meets the continuing education requirements for teaching certification are acceptable.  Grant money can also be used towards college courses including, but not limited to, accredited two- and four-year institutions and Master’s programs.

Review of the applications will be conducted in January of 2020 by the Student Impact Committee of the Foundation for Erie’s Public Schools.

Awarding of the mini-grants will be announced during "We Love Erie’s Public Schools Week" in February of 2020.

Applications for both mini-grant opportunities should be returned to  eerwin@eriesd.org by January 10, 2020 or delivered to the Administration Office at 148 W. 21st Street to Erica Erwin’s attention.
