The efforts and contributions of many African American educators and community leaders have helped Erie's Public Schools to become the district it is today. Thank you to all of the amazing individuals who help us continue #buildingexcellencetogether! We are especially grateful for our superintendent, Dr. Natalyn Gibbs, who is dedicated to bringing the community together and supporting our students and their families.

This month our students are learning about the important African American figures throughout history. You can stay up to date on what they are doing each week to celebrate Black History Month by visiting our website: https://www.eriesd.org/blackhistory.

Spreading joy through music! 🎶 The 8th Grade Warrior Band visited Brevillier Village last week for a special pre-concert performance. The highlight of the day was the residents joining in for a spirited rendition of “Jingle Bells!” After the music, students spent time visiting with the residents and even made a new friend, Ethel the rabbit! 🐰 #CommunitySchoolsInAction #EastMiddleSchool #buildingexcellencetogether
