Throughout the year, a number of school events, programs, and classroom lessons take place that are of interest to both school district media (cable channel, website, school newsletters, etc.) and regional print and broadcast media (newspapers, television, radio, etc.) During these activities, students and staff may be photographed or interviewed to increase public awareness of our school and/or individual student accomplishments. If you DO NOT want your children to be photographed, videotaped or interviewed, please complete and return the 2026-2027 Media Opt-Out Form available at your child’s school.

Dear Families, We are excited to continue our journey as a District Wellness Team school. This team is made up of teachers, staff, and administrators. We hope to add students and parents in 26/27. The goal is to implement the District Wellness Policy in chunks. Take a look at the two documents outlining Smart Snacks and an example birthday menu. We will no longer serve cupcakes and non-smart snacks on birthdays. Feel free to reply with questions. We will continue to send updates and reminders throughout the school year. ❤️💛

Mrs. Lyon’s class participated in the William Aulenbacher Sr. Memorial Track and Field Meet, benefiting the Special Olympics of NWPA!
There were schools representing the whole county. The kids participated in a 50 meter run, standing long jump, turbo javelin, and got to relax in a special athlete village.
The class showed tremendous teamwork and sportsmanship! ❤️💛

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, GC hosted a Sunset Family Yoga Class! A spin on our Sunrise Yoga club guided by Miss Amy from Infinite Love Yoga LLC. Families engaged in different yoga poses, breathing techniques, and guided meditation. Amy, we appreciate your continuous support of GCES!
