March 8th was International Women’s Day! Mrs. Haffley and Ms. Nietupski’s classes learned about it through their curriculum. To further their learning Mrs. Katie, the owner of World of Music came in to show them different types of musical instruments. She even gave them their very own shaker! We think it’s pretty cool our PTO president is such a strong Womean rocking the business world! 🎶🎸🎵🥁

Hello Connell Families—
We would like to intrduce our new apprentice assistant principal, Joanna Polakowski!
Joanna writes, “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining JoAnna Connell as your new Apprentice Assistant Principal! This marks my 16th year with Erie’s Public Schools, and I couldn’t be more excited for this new adventure. 💛
Over the years, I’ve had the joy of teaching grades K–5 in a variety of roles, most recently spending time with an amazing group of fourth graders at Perry. Each experience has shaped my love for learning, leadership, and supporting students as they grow.
I can’t wait to partner with our incredible students, dedicated staff, and supportive families to help make Connell the very best it can be. It’s going to be a wonderful rest of the year, and I’m so happy to be on this journey together! ✨”
Let’s all take this time to welcome Joanna to our Connell Family!
