Senior Asheen Udgiri has been selected as a Junior Achievement 18 under 18 recipient in western Pennsylvania.
This award recognizes students who are actively involved in their communities, displaying exceptional leadership skills and using their talents and skills to help those around them. It is the world’s largest organization dedicated to providing students the skills they need in their professional life.
This honor is a direct reflection of Asheen's work with Mission AED, an initiative she started through which she raised $39,000 with her team to provide life-saving AEDs in underserved areas of her community. It is also a reflection of her grant work with H.E.Y (Hear Erie’s Youth) and being a commissioner under Governor Josh Shapiro through the Next Generation engagement Commission, where she continues to uplift the young voices of Pennsylvania.
You can catch a glimpse of her billboards on Peach street! You can also attend the event at which she will be honored and recognized in Pittsburgh on February 3 at Acrisure Stadium.
