Collegiate Academy won the David Emery Pennsylvania Academic Decathlon Large School Championship on Saturday, March 14, in Hershey, PA, with a score of 41787 pts (60000 possible). With its victory, the team has advanced to Nationals in Garden Grove, CA, on April 23–25.

Seneca Valley took second with 41,717 points. Souderton, McDowell, and Carlisle rounded out the top five in the large school division.

The team comprises Penelope King, Serena Xu, and Sophia Gnacinski (honors division); Kaylee Lindstrom, Netesh Magar, and Sydnie Ashley (scholastic division); and Ava West, Isaaq Wilson, and Thomas Mayo (varsity division).

Collegiate Academy took third place in Super Quiz, and our students won a host of individual medals on their way to victory..

Penelope was the 2026 individual champion, scoring 8255 points out of a possible 10,000. She also earned gold in literature; silver in speech and science; and bronze in interview, economics, and social sciences.

Penelope was also named an all-state team member along with Serena (7894 points), Ava (7245 points), and Isaaq (7245 points).

Serena earned silver in art, bronze in literature, and gold in economics. Ava earned gold in speech, interview, music, art, literature, economics, and social science. along with bronze in science. Isaaq earned gold in science; silver in music, art and economics; and bronze in math.

Sophia earned gold in art and bronze in literature; Kaylee, silver in essay and interview; Netesh, silver in speech; and Thomas, silver in essay.

Two of our students competed in the individual division. Manaal Hussain earned gold in art; silver in music and economics; and bronze in speech, literature, and science. Kalea Williams earned silver in interview.
