Kindergarten enjoyed a visit from the expERIEnce Children's Museum on Friday as part of the Educational Passport Program. Made possible by a grant from Erie Insurance and in collaboration with Erie Arts and Culture and four of the United Way of Erie County community schools, each of our classes will have an in school enrichment experience AND a field trip this year! We are grateful for opportunities like these that extend learning beyond the classroom and increase engagement in school. #CommunitySchoolsInAction

What a wacky week! Read Across America got us so excited for reading and learning! Our amazing teachers created a very memorable week and really ignited our love of reading! Math + music + mustaches=a very silly family math event for second grade. Today was mustache day in honor of the Lorax in case you see some funny faces in the crowd. 'Kick' off Read Across America week tomorrow with Silly Sock Day! Wear your most colorful, crazy, or mismatched socks. We will have guest readers tomorrow morning and many surprises throughout the week! Try your best to get to school so you don't miss anything of the fun!
Do you see your Panther among these smiling faces? Pfeiffer Burleigh's Title 1 team and United Way of Erie County Community Schools teamed up this week for one of PB's favorite family events: WINTERFEST! We could not have pulled it off without the help of our partners: Therapy Dogs United , Erie Insurance , PB's SWPBIS Team, our mental health specialist-Ms. Wells, and our many staff volunteers. Thank you to our art teacher, Mrs. Hirsch, who created the snow globe selfie station and the Sunshine Group of Erie who donated handmade knitted hats for everyone! As always a big thank you to all of the families who attended! Add your pics in the comments. Info will be coming home soon for our next family fun night. We hope to see you there.

Congratulations to our February Tardy Table Troopers! This group definitely brought the fun in the mornings! They earned their hoodies today and are now attendance ambassadors. Congratulations to this lucky Panther family who won the Erie Otters tickets from the raffle at last night's Winterfest! We had a howling good time today with C Wolf and Ms. Laina! Thank you to the Erie SeaWolves for visiting Pfeiffer Burleigh. They shared the book "A Mascot's Tale: The Untold Story of C.Wolf". Their message included the 3 big ideas: Lift Others Up! Be You! and Find Your Talent! We accepted their challenge to read 6 or 7 books to earn a ticket to a Seawolves game this summer. Details will be coming home as part of Read Across America next week.⚾️📚📖🐾
