Our new science curriculum is really stirring up some excitement at PB! Our Panthers love the hands on learning and chance to work with their friends. Here are some photos from Mrs. Boam's class working on their Windbreaker kit.

What a creative collaboration! During their latest science unit, Mrs. Ollmann's second grade interviewed students in Mrs. Grapes's Kindergarten class to find out what kind of toys they like. Then, using their new science skills, the second graders designed toys based on their partner's interests. They met back up with their partners and presented them with a toy they created just for them!

Fourth grade had a hoot playing Kahoot today! Families used math strategies to solve multiplication problems and battle for first place! Thank you to our schoolwides, Mrs. Carlson and Mrs. Testrake, for planning the event, teachers for helping out, and of course to all of the family members who attended.

Check out Ms. Norman's class 's new Zen Garden! Students will have a chance to keep it at their desk to help promote mindfulness, focus, and creativity.

On Friday the Queens of Kindergarden held a royal ball to celebrate the end of their unit on kings and queens. They invited all of their friends for an afternoon full of feasting and dancing! A wonderful time was had throughout the land.

We had SNOW much fun celebrating attendance at our Winter Games! Students who were on time and present in January had a chance each day to be entered into a raffle to be chosen to participate in the games as everyone cheered them on! Thank you to our teachers for being such good sports and playing along, and to our game day crew volunteers from Erie Insurance for making sure everything ran smoothly. See the comments for which classrooms won the best attendance and most improved attendance awards for January and details of February's Pawsome Attendance Challenge!

Make sure you are present and on time tomorrow for our Winter Games All Star Attendance Assembly! Any guesses on who our mystery goalie will be?

Ahoy mateys! Mrs. Torres' class had a fun time activating their new sound /ar/ like a pirate!🦜🏴☠️

Join us on Thursday, February 26th from 4 - 5:30 pm for our Winter-Fest at Pfeiffer Burleigh.

It is the start of a new month and a new quarter. Perfect time to start a new attendance challenge! Let's start off strong together tomorrow!

Stairclimbers and Spellers, these Panthers make us #EPSProud ! Congratulations to the first semester Stairclimbers and to our PB spelling bee finalists who competed in the 2026 Community School Spelling Bee. We are very proud of your hard work and how you represent our school. 💙🖤

The efforts and contributions of many African American educators and community leaders have helped Erie's Public Schools to become the district it is today. Thank you to all of the amazing individuals who help us continue #buildingexcellencetogether! We are especially grateful for our superintendent, Dr. Natalyn Gibbs, who is dedicated to bringing the community together and supporting our students and their families.
This month our students are learning about the important African American figures throughout history. You can stay up to date on what they are doing each week to celebrate Black History Month by visiting our website: https://www.eriesd.org/blackhistory.

Congratulations to Mr. D for receiving a BRAVO award at last night's school board meeting! Mr. D was nominated for "being a strong advocate for students and staff as well as his amazing ability to build strong relationships". Well deserved! 💙🖤🐾 #buildingexcellencetogether

Cathedral Prep softball players came to spend some time with the PAL’s students on Monday, thanks for coming girls!

4th graders, in Ms. Armelli and Mrs. Miller’s classes, learned what it meant to collaborate today! They needed to make an invention to pickup and pass around a ping pong ball without their hands actually touching the ball. It was a success!
