At Diehl Elementary School, our principal and third grade team are mixing learning with a little fun—diving into math while making delicious s’mores!
Because when learning is hands-on (and a little messy), it sticks even more.

We were so grateful to have a parent coach, alongside the incredible support of our teachers, assistant principal, and principal. More than anything at Diehl, we want others to see our hearts and that was visible tonight.
As the event was concluding and we were taking our pictures, our 1st place winner, wanted all students to be holding the trophy. ❤️

We had a great turnout for Diehl Family Movie Night. Thanks to all the families that were able to make the event and we hope you enjoyed the show!

Last week, our amazing Diehl parents joined us for an evening of fun and learning with Trish Yates from Erie Playhouse PLAYTime! 🎉
Families explored simple, engaging ways to support early math and literacy skills at home—that make a BIG impact on our students’ growth. 📚🔢
At Diehl, we know that parent partnership is powerful. When school and home work together, our students soar even higher! 🦅✨
It truly takes a village, and we are so proud that YOU are part of ours.
Thank you, Ms. Trish and our Diehl parents!

On Sunday, our Diehl Intramural Soccer team competed in The Royals Soccer Tournament that featured other elementary schools within the district. The students competed hard and finished in 4th place. They played so well as a team and had a lot of fun. Thanks to Mr. Smith, Diehl Physical Education teacher, for coaching the team and being a constant support.

The efforts and contributions of many African American educators and community leaders have helped Erie's Public Schools to become the district it is today. Thank you to all of the amazing individuals who help us continue #buildingexcellencetogether! We are especially grateful for our superintendent, Dr. Natalyn Gibbs, who is dedicated to bringing the community together and supporting our students and their families.
This month our students are learning about the important African American figures throughout history. You can stay up to date on what they are doing each week to celebrate Black History Month by visiting our website: https://www.eriesd.org/blackhistory.

Diehl Spelling Bee Club held it's first in-school Spelling Bee competition. Eight Diehl students competed with the top two spellers qualifying for the District Spelling Bee this Thursday at Harding Elementary.
The spellers met weekly to practice and did an amazing job at the competition. Ivan Ngo (4th Grade) was top speller, Christian Hall (5th Grade) was 2nd Place.
A special thanks to parent volunteer, Thuy Le, for coaching and helping the students prepare. Also thanks to Mercyhurst University staff volunteers for judging, and to the families that attended and supported all the students competing.

A great event showcasing our students artistic talents. Great job to Diehl Music teacher, Mrs. Anderson and Art teacher, Ms Keeler. It was great seeing so many family and friends in attendance.
