Today we had our first Wilson Pride Band celebration! As you know, our PBIS team recognizes students who are respectful, responsible, and ready to learn. However, today we’re celebrating the Presidents who take leadership to a whole new level! Each of these students were recognized by staff for going above in beyond with grades, effort, or positive attitude. Please join us in celebrating them! 👏

Today our students and mentors from Susan Hirt Hagen CORE wrapped up a year of learning and leadership with a service project at Nightingale Nursing & Rehab Center! They worked together to paint a cabinet that will house enrichment items for the memory care unit.
Way to make us proud, Presidents! And thank you to these awesome partners for creating such meaningful opportunities for our kids. 💙

Wilson is encouraging families to fill a survey on how they can grow stronger as a school community by March 27th.
It’s a great day to celebrate! Did you know that Wilson recently achieved a “Tier 1 Initial” status through the PAPBS MTSS Implementers’ Forum? This means that our school consistently uses data to drive decisions that are tailored to meet the needs of our diverse learners. It is the first step on a mission to ensure all of our students can thrive!
We would like to specially thank our School-Wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS) team for their passion for this work. Their leadership in the building makes such a positive impact on school culture!
Our PBIS team members include: Erin Foessett, Megan Grochulski, Alix Foti, Margaret Kruszewski, Malik Brinson, Amber Krzewinski, Carolyn McIntyre, Julia Boyd, Melissa Peck, and Clement Brode.

Today some of our Champion students are meeting with Ms. Johnson, Mr. Pullium, Ms. Kruszewski, and Ms. Peck to brainstorm solutions to bullying, distractions to learning, and other concerns. Their ideas and leadership are so important as we work to make Wilson a safe and positive environment for all. Keep up the great work, Presidents!

Today we enjoyed our third annual Career Quest with our friends from National Fuel! During the event, students had the opportunity to chat with 9 different departments from National Fuel and consider how their choices during middle and high school help get them there. They also got to hear from Junior Achievement of Western PA and Wabtec Girls at Penn State Behrend! Thanks to the many volunteers and Wilson Related Arts teachers for making it all possible!
