Next Thursday, February 26th, we invite our Harding families to help us make a difference. 🐾
Our 5th Grade Student Ambassadors are leading their very first service project - a schoolwide donation drive to support the ANNA Shelter.
Earlier this year, Ambassadors had the opportunity to meet Ruth Thompson, founder and director of ANNA Shelter, during one of our “Lunch with a Leader” sessions. They were inspired by her passion, dedication and the lifesaving work happening every day at the shelter.
Recent news has reminded us that this work is not easy, but it is incredibly important. Providing rescue, medical care, and second chances for animals in need takes heart, time, and resources.
This drive is being held in memory of Aimee, the beautiful husky the shelter cared for in January, and in honor of all the animals they look after each day.
Thank you for helping our students learn the power of service, compassion, and community.

✨ Check out our new hallway art! ✨
This beautiful winter scene was created by students who attended our WinterFest event back in December. Each student designed their own “quilt square,” and the final piece was assembled by one of our incredible Harding volunteers, Mrs. Joan Benson-Cacchione, with AAUW Erie PA Branch.
We’ve received so many compliments since hanging it up, and it only felt right to share the story behind it. What a wonderful example of student creativity and community partnership coming together to brighten our halls! ❄️💙

This morning we welcomed Waldameer Mystery Files author, David Gorman - Author, to Harding!
Students in our after school book club program with Mrs. Musone read “The Sneaky Sabotage” and then had the opportunity to meet the author at a special family breakfast. Each student had a family member attend to enjoy a Waldameer-Mystery-Themed meal!
Following the Book Club Breakfast, Mr. Gorman also met with our 5th Grade Student Ambassadors to discuss how he followed his dreams to become an author - and the leadership skills it took to get there and become successful.

We ❤️ when students are at school on time, all day, every day!

This week we are focusing on STEAM contributions in Black History. Pre-K students learned about Mae Jemison, the first African American woman to travel to space. Kindergarteners learned about George Washington Carver, agricultural scientist and inventor.
