You can make a difference.
This September, during Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, Erie's Public Schools is reminding our whole community: a mental health crisis deserves the same response as any other emergency. You don't need to be a therapist — you just need to notice, reach out, and get help.
A.C.T. if you're worried about someone:
Ask — Start the conversation. Be direct, and listen without judgment.
Care — Show you care. Stay close and keep them connected.
Tell — Bring in a trusted adult or trained professional.
If you or someone you know is struggling, help is always available: 📞 Call or text 988 — free, confidential, 24/7 📱 Safe2Say Something: 1-844-SAF2SAY ☎️ Erie Crisis Line: 814-456-2014 🏫 Talk to a school counselor, mental health specialist, or any trusted staff member
In immediate danger? Call 911.
Every student, every day. We're in this together. #SuicidePreventionMonth #EriesPublicSchools

EPS families,
Throughout the year, a number of school events, programs, and classroom lessons take place that are of interest to both school district media (cable channel, website, school newsletters, etc.) and regional print and broadcast media (newspapers, television, radio, etc.) During these activities, students and staff may be photographed or interviewed to increase public awareness of our school and/or individual student accomplishments. If you DO NOT want your children to be photographed, videotaped or interviewed, please complete and return the 2026-2027 Media Opt-Out Form available at your child’s school.
You can also find and print the form, available in English and other languages, at
https://www.eriesd.org/page/optoutThan k you!

Wilson's last School-Wide PBIS event of the year is here... It's time for Carnival! This event will take place during the school day just like our previous quarterly events. Students can "purchase" a ticket with their PBIS points this week if they would like to attend. Their ticket includes access to lawn games, face paint, an inflatable obstacle course, and more.
Students may also purchase tickets to dunk their favorite teacher or buy additional snacks. These items can be purchased with PBIS points or cash at the event. Please email
efoessett@eriesd.org with any questions!

Congratulations to our boys and girls soccer teams and their coaches on a great season!
The girls soccer team played SV on Tuesday in the middle school championship game. They fought hard in a competitive match but came up short 2-1. The team should be commended for a great season and for the tremendous growth, teamwork, and talent they demonstrated throughout the year.
The boys soccer team also faced SV in the championship game and earned a 5-0 victory to win the middle school championship. Pictured is the team with the championship trophy they worked so hard to earn.
Congratulations to all players and coaches on a successful season!

Please join us in congratulating Ibrahim Abo Aless, Ahmad Al Khawaldeh, and Metaeus Mooney-Hughes! Last night, each of these young men received Bravo Awards at the EPS Board Meeting for going above and beyond!
Staying after class to help teachers, genuine kindness, responsibility, effort, leadership… just a few of the qualities listed in their nominations. Thank you for role modeling what it means to be a Wilson President! 👏 We are so proud of each one of you!

Please try to attain soccer cleats. They don't have to be expensive styles. You're going to grow out of them in no time. Check around at the thrift stores (Goodwill, Salvation Army family store, Erie City Mission family store, Amvets, Cobb's, etc...) some of the best cleats I ever owned were $300 cleats I got for $10 at a thrift store.
Also, required packing list for practices from here on out:
-Water bottle,
-Cleats (shoes until you can get cleats, must have them before the first game - bring BOTH)
-EXTRA Clothes - hats, gloves, jackets, coats, long sleeves, pants, etc... plan for all types of weather. -
*** We play in all types of weather (except for thunderstorms and severe cold)
----- yes that means we play in the rain and snow as well!
- A plastic garbage bag to put your regular bag into so your belongings don't get wet.
Please start securing your rides and have them be on time (carpool / ride with teammates if necessary)
Thanks & Go Royals!!!
