Join Erie's Public Schools for a fun-filled community celebration of connection, fun, and empowerment of the young girls in our district on Sunday, October 11, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Biletnikoff Field!🎉
This event is part of our district’s Building Excellence Together Weekend, held in partnership with the Jefferson Educational Society's Global Summit XVIII. While our students are busy with service projects on Saturday and a select group attends a conversation with Michelle Obama on Monday, Sunday is all about bringing our families together!

Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Empowerment Walk begins at 3:15 PM)
Location: Biletnikoff Field (finishing at the EPS Admin Building, 1910 Sassafras St., via an accessible route)
Admission & Activities: 100% Free for all EPS families!
What’s in Store:
- Fun family photo booth & bounce house
- Balloon headbands and wristlets provided by The Brown Clowns
- Music, refreshments, and community resource tables
- Inspiring remarks from local female leaders
An Empowerment Walk celebrating girl power, health, and wellness at 3:15 PM

Amazing job Panther Families! Thanks to your support, your students have been developing good attendance habits all month and we not only met, but EXCEEDED our goal! Regular attendance helps with academics, social emotional development, and aides in the development of relationships with friends and trusted adults. It helps keep the learning in our classrooms on track and creates a positive environment for learning! Tomorrow we will celebrate your hard work together as a school! Make sure to be on time for the All-Star Attendance Assembly-you won't want to miss it!

There are 7 school days left in September and that means you have 7 chances left to win your way in to compete in one of the challenges at the Attendance All Star Assembly on October 1st! Students can win more than once, so the more you come to school, the more chances you have to win. The All-Star Assembly is a chance for the whole school to come together to learn about and celebrate the importance of attendance. Good Luck Panthers!
Thank to all of the providers who set up at our Community Resource Fair on Thursday! The show of support from the Erie community and PB neighborhood was amazing. Providers included: Werner Books, United Way/Imagination Library, Safe Net, Second Harvest Food Bank, The Caring Place, Safe Harbor, Project Launch, The Family Center, Emmaus Food Pantry, Neighborhood Art House, PALS, Afterschool Bible Club, Farm to School, EPS Mental Health and Behavioral Intervention Specialists, SWPBIS, Bethesda Trinity Center, Union City Family Support, the Erie Free Store, Erie Bank on parade St, USCRI, and UPMC Behavioral Health. If your family is ever in need of any assistance, please contact the school and we will connect you to a resource!

September is the most important month for setting up successful school habits and our All-Star Attendance Challenge should help provide a little motivation! Every student has a chance to win every day! Just be present and in your seat when your teacher spins the Wheel of Names at 8:20.
Due to extreme weather and power outages, school is cancelled and the building is closed today. There were previously scheduled days off for Friday, September 4 and Monday, September 7. Classes will resume on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8. Please be safe!
Happy Wellness Wednesday from Pfeiffer Burleigh! Our 5th graders had a visit from our neighbors, the Erie SeaWolves today! As part of their C.A.R.E week, Seawolves players teamed up with C Wolf himself to present the "Healthy Challenge". We learned about eating healthy and exercising, competed with the players, and ended with a hydration station. Thank you to the Erie Seawolves who also presented each student who completed the challenge a voucher for a ticket to one of this weekend's games! Follow Erie's Public Schools Wellness for more Wellness Wednesday fun. You just might see our Panthers featured next week!
September is Attendance Awareness Month and PB kicked off our first schoolwide attendance challenge of the year today. Every day be present and in your seat at 8:20 for the Wheel of Names. If your name is chosen, you will be entered for a chance to compete at the All Star Attendance Assembly. Every class will have a winner every day! Mark your calendars for our Title 1 Family Engagement meeting on Thursday, September 17 from 9-9:30 followed by a community resource fair until 10. Meet in school support staff and learn about community resources in our neighborhood. Iced coffee bar, door prizes, and more! Watch your student's take home folder next week for invitations and how to RSVP. We want to team up with you to make it the best year yet!

Tomorrow is the first day of school! Our friends from Erie Insurance will be here to cheer us on at 7:45 and doors will open at 8 AM. Please take a look at the map of the arrival/dismissal doors so you know where to find your student's class. Please be SAFE, RESPONSINBLE, and RESPECTFUL on your way to school, and be PATIENT with others as they are finding their way on the first day!
