For seniors and families: Financial Aid 101

EPS families,

Erie’s Public Schools is holding two Financial Aid 101 events to help seniors and their parents/guardians create Federal Student Aid (FSA) IDs. Creating your FSA account and ID is an important and necessary first step if you hope to receive federal student aid to pay for two-year or four-year college or trade school, so please try to attend one of these events.

Events will be held on Oct. 5 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Collegiate Academy computer lab (use State Street entrance), and on Oct. 10 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Erie High School e-Sports lab (use main entrance on Cherry Street). Students from either school can attend either event. Experts will be on hand to help you create your FSA account. Parents must accompany students. Please bring Social Security numbers for each student and each parent, as well as individual, separate email addresses for each student and each parent.

If you are unable to attend either event, you can watch a video that guides you through the FSA account process here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTb7hMVtzco.
