Online Campus

Welcome to the Erie Public Schools Online Campus, providing new flexible educational opportunities to district students.

Expansion of the district’s digital curriculum, officially approved by the Board of Directors in December 2011, enables the district to offer online standards-based math, science, English, social studies, world languages, and Advanced Placement coursework to students in grades 9 -12.

Through a partnership with Advanced Academics, the district’s cyberschool is designed to be a local education option for Erie students currently attending cyber charter schools across the Commonwealth or those considering such options. The district’s digital coursework also provides district students with opportunities for original credit, credit recovery, remediation, alternative education, and even accelerated AP coursework.

What makes the Erie School District's cyberschool option most attractive is the continuous teacher support and interaction. And, while courses may be taken online from home similar to other cyber charter schools, students enrolled in the district’s online program will continue to be students of their Erie high school. Students who complete their graduation requirements online will also earn the same Central Tech, East, or Strong Vincent diploma as students in a traditional classroom and may participate in graduation ceremony.

Online students are also eligible to participate in their school’s extra-curricular activities, athletics, and access other district programs and services.

Cyber programs similar to Erie’s model are currently available to students in more than 4,700 school districts, including large urban districts with measurable outcomes on student graduation rates and dropout rates. Advanced Academics is unique in many ways and here are a few key points to help point out how we are unique:

  • Over 200 original credit courses grades 9 -12
  • NCAA approved
  • Aligned to Common Core
  • 508 Compliant to meet Accessibility Standards for special needs students
  • Fully accredited by AdvancEd
  • Advanced Placement Courses that are College Board Approved Advanced Academics
