    Vision

The central focus of our educational programs is to assist students in reaching their graduation goals. The central focus of our behavior programs is to assist students in developing coping skills to return to and be successful in their home school setting.

    Mission:

Our mission is to prepare our students to become contributing members of society, and to facilitate positive behavior changes in our students while teaching them how to exhibit our core values of respect, responsibility, and resilience.

    School History:

In 2018, Erie’s Public Schools decided to house their alternative education and non-traditional education programs at one location. Emerson Gridley is that location. At this location there are several programs. The alternative education programs are run as a partnership with Sarah Reed Children’s Center. The Bridges AEP is for grades 9-12, the SELF program is for grades 3-6. Students are placed in these programs. Emerson Gridley also houses Erie’s Choice Cyber Academy. Grades K-5 and grades 6-12 have labs that cyber students may come into to obtain additional assistance as they progress through their on-line academic programming. Students who are interested may apply at the school. The Recovery Academy Middle School (RAMS) program is for students in grades 6-8 who have not been successful in a typical setting. Students are recommended by their home school to attend the RAMS program. Our high school recovery program is for 11th and 12th grade cohort year students who are behind in credit obtainment. The program assists students who are willing to put in additional efforts outside of the traditional programing to get back on track for graduation. The recovery program is an application school.
