    Hi!

    I was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania.  I attended Villa Maria College (now part of Gannon University) and received a BA in English.  I moved to Syracuse, New York and attended Syracuse University, earning two Masters Degrees in English Education and Library & Information Science. 

    I have been teaching for 28 years.  I began my career as a high school English teacher in Syracuse, New York, where I lived for six years, and then moved back home to Erie, PA. 

    I worked for many years as an Assistant Principal but really missed the classroom, and so, in December, 2021, I moved back into a teaching role.  I love being back in the classroom!  I strive to make learning fun.  My students and I read great texts, share lots of stories, listen to music (and they even LIKE my 70's and 80's favorites...sometimes!), laugh, and even if reading and writing isn't their favorite subject, we have FUN!
