In addition to the great resources provided above, I am also suggesting students read and listen to stories every day. If students do not have copies of books at home, one great source is https://www.storylineonline.net/.
Storyline online is an award-winning children’s literacy program. The SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s award-winning children’s literacy website, Storyline Online, streams videos featuring celebrated actors reading children’s books alongside creatively produced illustrations.
Lastly, I will be keeping a journal each day that I will share with the students when we return. I would love it if students write a few sentences about their day or draw a picture to add to our journal. Once we are back together, we can share our pages and I will make copies for everyone to enjoy.
Please do not hesitate to contact me firstname.lastname@example.org. I will be checking my email each day and I can offer support or answer questions you may have.
If your child has an annual IEP due in the months of April, May or June, I will be in contact by phone to conduct the IEP meeting. Please be sure the office has an updated phone number on file. If you need to update any contact information you can call the school office at 814-874-6485.
I hope everyone stays healthy and we are together again soon!
