• Hello Jefferson families!  I am looking forward to the new year here at Jefferson Elementary.  I will again be the 4th grade Learning Support Teacher.  I began my teaching career at Harding Elementary after I graduated from Edinboro University.  I spent my first five years at Harding in Special Education as a Learning Support Teacher in grades 5 and 6.  I then decided to take a position at Edison Elementary, which I taught in 5th grade.  I spent the next 15 years at Edison Elementary.  I then transferred to my current position here at Jefferson Elementary.  I am glad to be here and look forward to adding my experience to the Jefferson Staff and students.

Before I became a teacher, I was in the US Navy for 6 years after high school.  I then worked at the Barber Center in the Adult Day Program for 10 years while I completed my education at Edinboro University, culminating with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education/Special Education.  I then completed a Masters degree in Special Education from Mercyhurst College.  I also completed an online Masters program from the University of Scranton in Curriculum and Instruction.

I have been a life-long Erie resident.  I grew up in Wesleyville, PA and graduated from Iroquois High School in 1984.  My interests include sports as a spectator or participant, fishing, camping, and just hanging out with family and friends.
