• Hello Jefferson families!  I am new to the Jefferson Staff but come with 21 years of teaching experience.  I began my teaching career at Harding Elementary after I graduated from Edinboro University.  I spent my first five years at Harding in Special Education as a Learning Support Teacher in grades 5 and 6.  I then decided to take a position at Edison Elementary which I taught 5th grade.  I spent the next 15 years at Edison Elementary.  Last year I decided that I needed and wanted a change.  I chose to take the current position here at Jefferson Elementary.  I am glad to be here and look forward to addding my experience to the Jefferson Staff and students.

Before I became a teacher I was in the US Navy for 6 years after high school.  I then worked at the Barber Center in the Adult Day Program for 10 years while I completed my education at Edinboro University culminating with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education/Special Education.  I then completed a Masters degree in Special Education from Mercyhurst College.  I also completed an online Masters program from the University of Scranton in Curriculum and Instruction.

I have been a life long Erie resident.  I grew up in Wesleyville PA and graduated from Iroquois High School in 1984.

I recently was a basketball coach at Iroquois High School at every level from Junior High to most recently the head Girls Basketball coach until 2019-20 season.  I have coached basketball at the grade school level also during this time.
