Pfeiffer-Burleigh Elementary, a United Way community school

Pfeiffer-Burleigh Elementary launched the community school initiative at our school in 2016-17. Community schools are a strategy for organizing school and community resources around student success. Its integrated focus on academics, services, supports and opportunities leads to improved student success, stronger families and healthier communities.

In Erie County, each community school is supported through the implementation of a community school director who works directly at the school, a Corporate Partner, a Lead Partner, as well as United Way of Erie County as the back-bone organization. In addition to the support provided by United Way of Erie County, at Pfeiffer-Burleigh our Corporate Partner is Erie Insurance and Lead Partner is Family Services of NWPA.

My name is Meghan Easter and I am the Community School Director at Pfeiffer-Burleigh Elementary school.  I am so happy you are "here." If there is anything I can do to support you, your family, and/or your student(s), please let me know! I am here to help remove barriers and to support student success.

You can reach  me by email at measter@eriesd.org, calling the school (814-874-6750), or stop by and see me at the school - my office is located in the main office area.
