What a great way to start the morning! Lincoln Elementary had the zoo join their Pre K class today and learn about animals. The staff from the Erie Zoo began by reading a book, then passed around items for students to feel that are associated with animals. Lastly, the fantastic event concluded with students being able to touch the animals brought! Some students were hesitant, but then they were brave and decided to pet the animals anyway. Partnerships like these are essential for the students' development and learning. Thank you to all who made this incredible experience possible for the Lincoln Elementary Pre K class! #buildingexcellencetogether

HUGE congratulations to Erie High Royals varsity boys’ basketball Head Coach Shannon Pullium, who with a 69–47 win over Chapmanville Regional, surpassed Al Calabrese to claim the title of winningest boys basketball coach in Erie’s Public Schools history with 326 career victories. This week is Safe Stop Week! You may see police vehicles following a school bus; they are ensuring the community is practicing safe driving around school buses.
Please remember to stop when buses have flashing red lights and stop arms extended. Also, slow down when near buses to watch for children.
