This week, our students are focusing on Art and Music as part of our Black History Month celebration.
At Edison Elementary School, fifth graders in Ms. Jacobson’s class explored the achievements of past and present Grammy Award–winning African American artists. Students researched influential musicians, discovered fun and inspiring facts about their lives and accomplishments, and created posters to showcase what they learned.
This is just one example of the meaningful learning happening throughout our school during Black History Month. Be sure to check back on our website (eriesd.org/blackhistory) for more updates as more schools share what they're doing this week.
