    Dear Perry Families,

Welcome back to the 2020-21 school year! We know this is a challenging time and are here to support you! The health and safety of our staff and students is our number one priority as well as ensuring a high quality education. Due to the ever evolving Covid-19 pandemic and the need for extensive renovations to several of the district's school's ventilation systems, all regular education students at all grade levels will participate in remote instruction for the first quater, until Nov. 4th. Beginning in the second quarter, elementary students will have the option to participate in hybrid instruction- a combination of in-school and remote learning- or continued remote instruction.

Special education students in self-contained classrooms will have the option to return to school full time, five days a week, for direct instruction starting Tuesday, Sept. 8th. Instruction will take place in properly ventilated classrooms.

Remote instruction will follow the school day schedule. Classes will be livestreamed, allowing students to participate in lessons and interact with their peers and teachers in real time. Also, this year, all students will be issued an iPad in PreK, Kindergarten and Grade 1. If your child is in Kindergarten of 1st grade this year and they were assigned a chromebook last spring, you must return the chromebook first at the time of pick up in order to get the iPad for this school year.

Students in Grades 2-5 will be issued a chromebook for this year. If you child was issued a chromebook last spring, you should continue to use that chromebook.

Parents are required to sign an electronic device agreement upon pick-up for all new technology issued. Students will also receive the necesary Reading and Math workbooks for use at home during online learning at the same pick-up time. Please see pick up schedule at the top of this page.

Please email our school secretary, Ms. Caren, at cmontifiori@eriesd.org, if you have contact, phone number, or address updates or changes. Contact Ms. Caren as well if you need your child's parent portal number to access infinite campus.

If you should find yourself in need of assistance or connection to resources during this challenging time, please contact our Community School Director, Michelle Kephart, at 814-460-4846 or email her at mkephart@eriesd.org. Please call 2-1-1, United Way of Erie County's helpline if you are in need of information or referrals during this time.
